Warm Audio JUDE-MP2

The Warm Audio Jude-MP2 is a dual-channel microphone preamp created in official collaboration with legendary British console builder Sound Techniques. It features the exact A-Range preamp circuit used in the original Trident Studios custom consoles, bringing the depth, punch, and distinctive character of the historic design to modern studios.

Designed by original console engineer Geoff Frost and built directly from the original schematics, the Jude-MP2 preserves the complete discrete signal path, including dual-discrete 3035 Class-A amplification and custom-spec CineMag USA transformers. This authentic circuit design delivers the musical response associated with the original A-Range consoles.

The hand-wired PCB uses audio-grade Wima and Nichicon capacitors, carbon resistors, and bespoke CineMag transformers. The 9-position Z-Match control recreates Geoff Frost's unique 8-lead impedance-matching circuit, optimizing the interaction between microphone and preamp while providing nine tonal options for fine-tuning gain, response, and character.

Each Jude-MP2 is hand-tested and inspected by musicians and technicians in Austin, Texas. The preamp features 48V phantom power, polarity switching, line-level switching, XLR and TS/TRS inputs, XLR and 1/4" TRS outputs, and VU meter level indication. It is backed by a 5-year warranty.
