Tone Shaping and Audio Quality

The dual Tone Shaping Preamps feature three selectable character modes: Warmth, Focus, and Shine. They are designed to add analog character to microphone and line signals. The 32-bit/192 kHz audio conversion provides detailed recording and playback.

Smart Display, Auto-Gain and Clip Protection

The full-color Smart Display provides clear visual feedback for input and output levels. Auto-Gain calculates optimal gain settings within seconds, while Clip Protection helps prevent sudden level increases from causing digital clipping.

Flexible Routing and Digital Expansion

The ADAT input allows connection of an external 8-channel preamp for expandedrecording. ADAT supports 8 channels at 48 kHz, 4 channels at 96 kHz, and 2 channels at 192 kHz. The optical input can also be used for 2-channel S/PDIF. MIDI connections and the built-in USB hub allow external synthesizers, controllers, and peripherals to be connected.

Loopback for Streaming

The built-in Loopback functionality allows live microphone signals to be combined with computer audio for livestreaming, podcasts, and content creation.

UAD Software and LUNA

Volt 4 Gen 2 includes a complete software package with 15+ UAD plug-ins and instruments together with Universal Audio's LUNA Digital Audio Workstation.
