The Platinum series has long been regarded as the most important loudspeaker line in the TAGA Harmony premium category. When developing Platinum v.4, the design team faced the challenge of meeting the high expectations created by previous generations while introducing a modern and elegant appearance. The result is a speaker series delivering stunning sound performance that TAGA Harmony believes goes far beyond what is typically expected at this price level.

The Platinum line has been completely redesigned with upgrades to all crucial sound-related components and entirely new elegant cabinet designs.

Because music and sound are all about emotions and listening experience, extensive listening tests and precise acoustic tuning played a key role during development. The Platinum v.4 sound is characterized by deep, perfectly controlled bass, a rich and smooth midrange, and detailed crystal-clear highs combined with a very open and airy soundstage.

Construction and Technology
The third-generation TLIE-II enclosure (Taga Low Interference Enclosures) features a more rigid structure and thicker MDF panels to reduce unwanted resonances and vibrations. The front baffle is 21 mm thick while the cabinet walls are 15 mm. The enclosure is reinforced with stronger internal bracing and two transverse MDF strengthening bars for additional rigidity. The front baffle is tilted backward to time-align the drivers and further minimize turbulence and resonance.

The magnetically mounted grille provides a sleek appearance and reduces distortion when removed. High-end internal damping material helps break up standing waves and lower resonances, improving smoothness across the entire frequency range.

Die-cast aluminum feet and spikes provide excellent isolation from the floor, improving sound transparency, bass definition, and control while also enhancing the modern yet timeless appearance of the speakers.

The cabinets are finished with durable vinyl coatings that imitate natural wood texture and are precisely applied using advanced manufacturing processes for a premium look and feel.

The BOM Bassreflex Omnidirectional Module utilizes a low-turbulence, high-velocity front port with concave diffusers to increase low-frequency dispersion and deliver deeper, more controlled bass.

The second-generation TPTTD-I tweeter (Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome) features a lightweight titanium dome and a copper ring on the T-yoke to widen SPL range, reduce distortion, and allow faster and more accurate dome movement. The improved TWG-I waveguide faceplate enhances sound dispersion and helps create a wider and more natural three-dimensional soundstage.

The third-generation TPACD-II aluminum cone drivers are used for the midrange and bass sections. Combined with TRCS (Taga Reversed Cone Surround) technology, they provide fast response, high dynamics, and precise bass performance.

The Platinum v.4 crossover network is designed by renowned Polish loudspeaker designer and audio reviewer Arek Ogrodnik. The crossover uses a minimal number of carefully selected high-quality components to ensure excellent neutrality, high precision, and high power handling.

Internal wiring made of multi-stranded oxygen-free copper ensures the signal retains its integrity from amplifier to drivers. High-quality gold-plated binding posts accept raw speaker cables up to 10AWG as well as most popular connector types.
