The HIFIMAN HE6 Remastered brings back the driver concept of the original HE6 planar magnetic headphones, combining its demanding amplification requirements and dynamic presentation with a lighter, updated headband. Designed for serious desktop listening, it is aimed at experienced listeners seeking high resolution, fast transient response and powerful dynamic contrast.

At its core is a nanometer-thickness diaphragm driven by a planar magnetic system. Its low moving mass supports rapid response to musical transients, precise instrument textures and clear spatial detail. The large planar magnetic driver is designed to deliver controlled bass, low distortion and accurate definition across complex recordings.

The sound signature is described as neutral-bright, with deep, controlled bass, an open and immediate midrange, and detailed treble. Rather than emphasizing bass quantity, the HE6 Remastered focuses on transient impact and dynamic contrast, revealing the characteristics of the recording and connected audio system.

With a sensitivity of 83.5 dB and an impedance of 50 ohms, the HE6 Remastered requires a powerful headphone amplifier with strong current delivery and ample power reserves. A dedicated desktop amplifier is recommended to provide sufficient headroom, control and dynamic performance.

The open-back circular ear cups retain the classic HE6 appearance, while modern 3.5 mm cup connectors and a second-generation composite suspension headband update everyday usability. The revised headband reduces the weight to 522 g while improving weight distribution for extended listening sessions.
