Unique enclosure design for the 7040A is the result of more than 10 years of research and manufacturing experience and allows the 7040A to achieve a high noise level (an important feature for a subwoofer) and move large volumes of air without any distortion. Like the rest of the line product, all the electronics, amplifiers, circuits, drivers and enclosure are designed and installed, tested and individually calibrated in Genelec factory.

Powerful Class D Amplifier

Produce 100 dB of sound pressure level (SPL) in the 7040A uses a 6.5 '' woofers and a powerful Genelec-designed Class D amplifiers. Take advantage of Genelec's acclaimed Laminar Spiral fenced (LSE & # 8482;), the casing is made of a spiral-shaped bands of steel, which ensures maximum mechanical stability to immense pressures generated in the subwoofer.
