Evans UV1 drumheads are designed to deliver a wide range of sounds while being the most durable single-ply drumheads on the market. The new UV coating offers unparalleled durability, and the fine-grained surface, together with the unique 10 mil thick film, delivers a dynamic sound with brilliant highs and rich lows.
When played slightly off-center, the UV1 has attractive overtones with a clear identity, which when played harder rounds off and gives an attack more reminiscent of two-ply heads. UV1 thrives in a variety of tuning ranges. When tuned low, the attack is softer and delivers a good low end with good carrying power. When tuned high, the sound becomes more cohesive and the attack becomes firm with a rich core.
