EarthQuaker Devices Scrolls Bass Odyssey

EarthQuaker Devices Scrolls is a powerful all-analog bass effect designed to shape virtually any bass signal into a wide range of classic and modern tones. Developed in partnership with Kentaro Nakao, it is built to cover everything from vintage Motown-style warmth to aggressive metal-driven sounds.

The Drive section delivers tube amp-like overdrive with Blend and Bandwidth controls for precise shaping of the clipped signal. This makes it possible to keep the low end wide, deep, and full while still adding grit and character to the bass tone.

The EQ section provides active Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, along with a variable-frequency control for detailed tonal shaping. Additional push-button voicings such as Deep, Process, and Bright make it easy to sculpt the sound quickly in different playing situations.

Scrolls also includes a buffered Parallel Out, a hard-wired Effects Loop placed between the Drive and EQ sections, and a balanced XLR Direct Out with analog filtering for direct-to-PA or recording use. The pedal uses true bypass switching for the Drive section and standard on/off switching for the EQ section.
