The Cayin C9ii is a portable high-end headphone amplifier that combines advanced solid-state circuitry with fifth-generation KORG Nutube 6P1 vacuum tube technology. Designed for demanding audiophiles, it delivers the warmth and musicality of tube amplification alongside the precision and control of modern transistor designs in a compact portable format.

At the heart of the C9ii are two KORG Nutube 6P1 tubes that recreate the natural tonal character and harmonic richness of classic tube amplifiers while maintaining low power consumption and portability. Users can instantly switch between tube mode and transistor mode to tailor the listening experience to their personal preferences and headphone pairing.

The C9ii introduces selectable plate voltage settings, allowing listeners to choose between Low and High voltage operation. The Low setting delivers a smoother and warmer presentation, while the High setting enhances dynamics, detail retrieval, and overall drive capability.

A fully balanced amplifier architecture minimizes distortion, improves channel separation, and creates a more precise stereo image. Multiple operating modes including Class A, Class AB, Hyper, Balanced, Single-Ended, and different feedback configurations allow extensive customization of the amplifier's sonic character.
