Custom, K87-Style Capsule: The K-87 style capsule inside the WA-87 R2 is an authentic reproduction of the K87 capsule found in the most prized vintage 87 mics from the late 60s and early 70s.The vintage-accurate capsule inside the WA-87 R2 is able to capture intricate detail and clarity in the midrange, all the way through to treble frequencies without being too harsh in the highs. The bass is tight and natural, making the WA-87 R2 a great mic to capture any acoustic source.

Custom CineMag USA Output Transformer: The WA-87 R2 utilizes a custom, true-to-original spec American-Made CineMag output transformer. The transformer inside the WA-87 R2 adds a richness to the midrange and harmonic overtones to the mic that can only be heard on vintage microphones and the highest quality recreations. Even though the WA-87 R2 is excellent at delivering clarity and brilliance like the original, the transformer ensures that the mic still has all the warmth and sizzle of a vintage condenser mic.

Pro Recording Features: Each WA-87 R2 mic has three polar patterns (cardioid, figure-8, & omnidirectional) to meet the needs of a variety of recording situations. The variable pad (0dB, -10dB) allows the WA-87 R2 to manage variable SPLs and properly balance signal-to-noise for better raw recordings.

Package Contents: The WA-87 R2 TS package comes with separate matching titanium-finished shock mounts and hard mounts for each mic.
