Warm Audio Centavo Mod

The Warm Audio Centavo is a faithful recreation of the legendary Klon Centaur overdrive circuit, designed to deliver the sought-after clean boost, transparent overdrive, and hard-clipping tones associated with the original.

With Gain, Treble, and Output controls, the Centavo can be used with clean or dirty amplifiers, either as a transparent overdrive, a solo boost, or to push an already driven amplifier into greater saturation.

A rear-panel MOD switch engages the renowned Jeff Beck Mod, extending the low-end response on the lower guitar strings by changing the value of the high-pass filter. This provides additional low-frequency body and a more pronounced response on the lower strings.

The circuit uses carefully selected components including TL072 op amps, vintage-style diodes, carbon and metal film resistors, and a charge-pump voltage regulator. Buffered bypass operation, a custom-cast golden enclosure, and tapered oxblood knobs complete the authentic design.
