Vox AC30 Hand-Wired

The Hand-Wired series is a tribute to Vox's own classic history. The series has been developed by carefully studying and examining the tone and construction of the now more legendary models from the 60s. Specially designed transformers, updated circuit board design are some of the steps taken to recreate the classic AC sound including the Top Boost channel while adding features for the modern guitarist such as spring reverb and effects loop.
The Vox AC30HWR2X is 30 watts and is equipped with 4 ECC83 and 1 ECC81 preamp tubes, 4 EL84 power tubes and two Celestion 12" Alnico Blue speaker drivers.

The specially designed transformers provide the tonal characteristics of natural compression associated with vintage amplifiers while balancing the natural "ghost notes" that often occur in older AC models without losing the AC character.

When developing the new Hand-Wired series, they even took a closer look at the construction of the chassis itself. This has resulted in a chassis built from a slightly thinner laminate, which provides a clearer and wider midrange.
