VOX AC10 Hand-Wired

The new Vox AC Hand-Wired Series is a homage to our legendary 60s legacy, the series was meticulously developed after studying pristine vintage models and captures the elusive Vox sound with unparalleled authenticity. Custom transformers, reengineered power circuits, and historically accurate cabinets ensure each amp resonates with the depth and character of the originals including the Top Boost-channel, while enhancements such as high-quality spring reverb and FX loops add contemporary versatility. The AC10HW1 encapsulates the essence of Vox in a 10 Watt combo amp, featuring 2 x ECC83 preamp valves, 2 x EL84 power amp valves and a 12” Celestion Greenback G12M speaker.

The custom transformers used for the Hand-Wired series delivers the same tonal characteristics with natural compression and "sag" that often is associated with vintage amps. Still the design of the transformers counterbalance the natural ghost notes that usually appears in the vintage AC-models without loosing the classic AC-sound.

When designing the new Hand Wired Series the Vox design team did also take a closer look at the design and construction of the actual cabinet. The result is a cabinet built with a slighty thinner laminate which helps the amplifier to deliver a richer and more expressive mid range.
