The Tascam DA-3000SD combines a first-class reference-class master recorder and AD converter with sampling rate for musically accurate recording. By using only the highest quality components, the DA-3000SD continues to set the industry standard for professional master recording and AD/DA conversion.

Professional stereo master recorder with amazing AD/DA converter
Following in the footsteps of its highly acclaimed predecessors, the DA-3000SD is an indispensable master recorder and professional monitoring unit in a single rack-mountable unit.

Bouncing a recording into a DAW alone cannot capture the quality offered by the DA-3000SD as a master recorder. When used as an AD/DA converter in a DAW production environment, it provides unparalleled, noise-free monitoring, enhancing the clarity and depth of the sound.

Masterful sound with PCM or DSD recording
For recording, the DA-3000SD can capture audio at 192 kHz for PCM and 2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz for DSD, the highest recording format commercially available. Based on the needs of the project, users can select the recording method that best matches the characteristics of the music and save the settings.

Multiple units can be synchronized for precise recording and playback, enabling the creation of a DSD multi-track recording environment. Recording directly to SD card media makes transporting and storing sessions simple and easy to manage.
Wide range of inputs and outputs
The DA-3000SD is equipped with a comprehensive selection of input and output terminals for connection to a variety of studio equipment, including audio interfaces, microphone preamps, dynamics processors, and more.

Analog I/O ports are provided via XLR and RCA connectors, while digital PCM connectivity is provided via SPDIF, RCA coaxial and AES/EBU connectors. Digital DSD connections are provided via BNC SDIF-3 connectors.

Uses high-quality audio circuitry for AD/DA conversion
To achieve an exceptional sound profile, the power section uses an EI core transformer with separate windings for the digital and analog circuits, while the output audio circuit has a dual mono configuration with two high-quality circuits.

Additionally, all stages of the audio circuit are balanced to reduce noise on both the input and output paths. Equipped with a TCXO (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator), the DA-3000SD's clock generator provides ±1 ppm accuracy for jitter-free digital audio processing.

Use as a portable high-resolution DA converter
Highly portable, fitting into a 1U rack space, the DA-3000SD can be taken from studio to studio for detailed and reliable monitoring in any environment. With its wordclock capability, it can also be used as a high-precision clock generator or synchronized to an external clock source for musically accurate, clean phase-coherent audio.

Use as an A/D converter/recorder for mastering
By sending the stereo mix from a DAW and recording it with the DA-3000SD, you can capture the source audio at a higher resolution than is possible with a DAW bounce alone. When using vintage or other outboard equipment during the mastering process, the DA-3000SD can be placed after the external hardware to capture the color of the sound in all its high-resolution beauty.

Use as a DSD Multitrack Recorder
Both recording and playback synchronization can be achieved by cascading multiple units, creating a DSD multi-track environment. By connecting eight DA-3000SDs, users can record up to 16 tracks simultaneously. .
