Tama MAF1816U-FBK

The Tama MAF1816U-FBK 18x16" Floor Tom Flat Black is a Starclassic Maple Floor Tom featuring a six-ply all-maple shell, black nickel shell hardware and a flat black finish. The Tama Starclassic drums offer an unprecedented combination of sight and sound. The Starclassic Series drums deliver full, powerful character and rich resonance, achieved by utilising carefully selected maple shells. Starclassic drums are equipped with zinc die-cast hoops that make tuning easier and more consistent, with a crisp attack, clear and resonant highs, and much more powerful rim shots.

Air Pocket rubber feet feature a special air chamber, eliminating the transfer of vibrations to the floor and absorbing shock for better playing. Quick-Lock tom brackets are built in and allow for quick, easy setup and breakdown by simply sliding the switch on the tom bracket, separating it into two parts. These tom brackets also employ rubber lining to further isolate the drums and enhance resonance.

A Hold Tight cup-shaped stainless steel washer contains a rubber ring so the tension rod pushes both the cup washer and the rubber ring. The softness of the Hold Tight's rubber ring keeps it in contact with both the tension rod and the hoop at all times and maintains friction between them so that tension is always preserved. Evans heads are featured on all Starclassic drums for durability and a solid sound. All shell hardware features a black nickel-plated finish.
