In the fall of 2016, Tama’s legendary 1st Chair series is being updated. The sturdy seats remain, made of 12mm plywood with molded foam and well-stitched upholstery that has proven to last year after year. It is primarily the base and the seat holder, Seat Lock, that have been updated for increased stability. In addition, the legs have a different shape with a repositioned crossbar and larger rubber feet. The quick height adjustment remains but features a new locking mechanism that holds the inner tube in a firm grip. Tama once again demonstrates why it is the market leader in drum thrones! Those who want better posture and extra back support can purchase the HTB5B backrest, which fits both the new and 1st Chair models. Four basic options are available: Round Rider, Wide Rider, Ergo Rider, and Round Rider XL; the first three are available with a fabric seat. A hydraulic base is offered on the Round Rider XL and Ergo Rider.
