Takamine EF450C-TT-TBB

The transparent blackburst EF450C TT TBB from Takamine is a Thermal Top Series NEX model acoustic/electric guitar with a cutaway body. Producing a bold and articulate voice, the instrument is constructed with a solid thermal spruce top, a solid flame-maple back and flame-maple sides, a maple neck, and ebony fingerboard. The neck has a nut width of 42.5mm for a smooth and comfortable feel with fast playability. Before construction, the top wood is treated with high heat to modify the resins and sugars in the wood, which imparts a played-in vintage tone and feel that is surprising for a brand new instrument. The quick response, balance, and projection is yours right out of the case.

This beautiful NEX model incorporates ornate "Grass Flower" inlays across the fingerboard that are made from hundreds of pieces of abalone and pearl. Additional appointments include a matching floral pickguard; white binding around the body, neck, and headstock; and a set of gold tuners with pearl buttons.

For electronics, the EF450C TT includes a TLD-2 Line Driver preamp that is designed to buffer the pickup and boosts the current of the signal to eliminate any degradation with long cables. The preamp is discreetly mounted within the output jack assembly and includes three tone-shaping controls which can be adjusted when the jack is extracted. Paired with the Takamine Palathetic undersaddle pickup, the system offers a warm and natural acoustic tone. A hardshell guitar case is also included.
