Solid State Logic Bus Comp Classic

The Solid State Logic Bus Comp Classic brings the iconic SSL Stereo Bus Compressor sound into a dedicated 1U rack format. Faithful to the original design and workflow, it combines the punch, cohesion and musicality associated with SSL bus compression with expanded controls for modern production.

At its core, high-performance THAT 2181 VCAs and SSL's distinctive sidechain architecture deliver controlled transients and cohesive mixes. Use it for subtle mix bus glue, assertive drum compression, instrument stems or parallel compression chains.

Variable VCA Drive lets you move from clean, transparent SuperAnalogue performance to the harmonic richness and saturation associated with classic 4000 Series and FX384 consoles, with drive levels reaching up to 10% THD.

Expanded compression ratios and release options provide greater creative flexibility while retaining a familiar, straightforward workflow. Six-position stepped controls support precise adjustment and repeatable settings, while SSL Auto Release adds further control over compression behaviour.

An integrated six-position sidechain high-pass filter helps prevent excessive low-frequency energy from triggering unwanted gain reduction. A genuine stereo external sidechain input provides additional flexibility for advanced dynamics processing.
