The KSM40C is a professional cardioid condenser microphone with a finger-shaped diaphragm, ideal for vocals and instruments. It features a precision-engineered 1" capsule that delivers natural, detailed sound with rich bass and clear treble, without harshness. The proprietary backplate design minimizes resonance and contributes to a smooth frequency response (20–20,000 Hz).

The microphone focuses on the sound source and minimizes room noise and leakage, making it easy to position, even in less than optimal environments. The gentle proximity effect provides creative control, from close recordings to a more neutral sound. Extremely low self-noise (7.5 dBA) allows for recordings with a wide dynamic range.
