Shanling ME500S (ME500 Shine) are hybrid in-ear headphones from the brand, which are an improved version of the popular and highly rated ME500 Platinum Edition model. They are distinguished not only by great sound quality, but also by excellent workmanship, ergonomic shape and a rich set of accessories, which include, among others: two headphone cables.

Top quality workmanship of Shanling ME500S
Shanling ME500S attracts attention with elegant casings covered with platinum. Thanks to this, the domes have a characteristic mirror and shiny surface, as indicated by the model name (ME500 Shine). The headphones look like jewelry, but that's not all. The model is also distinguished by its quality of workmanship.

ME500S housings are made of a strong bronze alloy using a 5-axis machine cutting (CNC) process, which guarantees the highest precision. The domes are then subjected to multi-stage processing, during which their surface is cleaned, polished and electroplated. Thanks to this, the Shanling model outperforms even many more expensive IEMs.

The use of bronze domes additionally reduces the negative impact of harmonic resonance and standing waves. Thanks to this, the sound of ME500S has a unique character. 

Shanling ME500S ergonomic housings
Shanling developed a new shape of housings for ME500S, using a large database of scans of human turbinates. Thanks to this, the domes are significantly smaller than in the case of previous models from the ME500 line, and therefore - they rest more comfortably in the ears. Just put on your favorite tips and you can forget about ME500S, even during longer listening sessions. 

Shanling ME500S with a hybrid design
ME500S are in-ear headphones that - like their predecessors - have a dynamic transducer and a double balanced armature. Shanling used the proven TWKF-30017 transducer from the American brand Knowles, which guarantees detailed but smooth mids and highs. For this purpose, the company has developed a new 10 mm dynamic driver with an independent suspension and a diaphragm covered with nanomaterial. It reproduces full, strong and low-reaching bass.

Shanling ME500S are based on the ME500 Platinum Edition model, but their design has been better optimized, which translates into even higher sound quality. This was made possible by an acoustic solution called Anterior Cavity Pressure Centralization, which brings out the potential of individual drivers while maintaining sound consistency. It assumes: maintaining the appropriate sound pressure by selecting the internal chamber and sleeve of the appropriate size; the use of a sleeve with three outlet holes, which reduces interference between sound waves coming from the dynamic and armature transducer.

Two headphone cables for Shanling ME500S
Shanling adds not one, but two high-quality headphone cables to the ME500S. These are 2-core cables with a concentric structure, which consist of 50 conductor strands: cable with a 4.4 mm (balanced) plug made of high-purity silver-plated copper, which guarantees a balanced, more controlled and harder sound; cable with a 3.5 mm plug (single ended) made of high-purity monocrystalline copper, which guarantees a warmer and smoother sound.

In ME500S, Shanling used additionally improved MMCX sockets. They are characterized by a more stable connection and longer service life.

The set for Shanling ME500S is not only two cables. The manufacturer has added a high-quality leather case (Shanling C4) for carrying the headphones, a cleaning tool and two pairs of foams and 4 sets of silicone caps (each in sizes S, M and L) that allow you to adjust the sound to your preferences.
