The PRS SE Swamp Ash Special is a unique instrument in the PRS SE series that combines classic aesthetics with modern versatility. With a swamp ash body, the guitar delivers a resonant and articulate tone with a clear attack and balanced response across the entire range. The 22-fret maple neck with a maple fingerboard provides a fast and stable playing feel suitable for both rhythm and lead playing.

The pickup configuration—featuring two 85/15 “S” humbuckers and a PRS-designed AS-01 Single Coil “S” in the middle—offers a wide sonic spectrum. The unique single-coil pickup, which combines alnico and steel, provides extra output and character. Together with the 5-way pickup selector and push/pull tone control, you have access to everything from clear single-coil tones to rich humbucker sounds.

The guitar’s tonal character is characterized by tight bass, a clear yet smooth treble range, and a distinct twang—perfect for genres like country, blues, and jazz. To enhance tone and sustain, the tuners feature lightweight knobs, and the patented PRS tremolo further enhances expressiveness while maintaining tuning stability.
