David Grissom's signature model now has a stripped-down format with a full mahogany body, which provides a genuine tone with plenty of resonance and a full midrange. The neck is also made entirely of mahogany while the fingerboard is made of rosewood. 

Just like the SE DGT, the SE DGT Standard has individual volume controls for each humbucker pickup, and the tone control has a Push/Pull coil split function, allowing you to go from the rich humbucker tone to the crisp single coil sound just by using the coil split function. The humbucker pickups are PRS DGT "S" and were designed to David Grissom's specifications, with the tremolo and mechanics being of PRS' own design. 

If you want vintage character, versatility with modern standards, the PRS SE DGT is a good choice.
