The CE24 model was introduced by PRS in 1988 and has since become one of the cornerstones of PRS’s extensive lineup. The SE CE24 Standard Satin features an all-mahogany body and a maple neck with a bolt-on joint. The thin finish used on the instrument allows the CE24 Standard Satin to reach its full tonal potential. The pickups, PRS 85/15 “S,” deliver a clear, balanced tone with a distinct high end and a low end with a bit of extra punch. To split the humbucker pickups into single-coil, use the tone control’s Push/Pull function. The truss rod is equipped with lightweight knobs that increase the instrument’s resonance, thereby providing more sustain. This workhorse offers tone, appearance, and playability that suit both beginners and experienced players alike, all at a great price.
