The CE24 model was introduced by PRS in 1988 and has since become one of the cornerstones of PRS's wide range. The CE 24 Standard Satin has a full mahogany body and a maple neck with a bolt-on neck attachment. The thin lacquer used to varnish the instrument allows the CE 24 Standard Satin to reach its full tonal potential. The PRS 85/15 “S” pickups have a clear balanced tone with a clear high register and a lower register with a little extra push. To split the humbucker pickups to single-coil, use the Push/Pull function of the tone control. This workhorse offers tone, looks and playability that are well suited to both beginners and long-time players at a good price.
