The S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is a vintage-inspired guitar with tons of personality and tonal complexity. The offset-shaped body is both elegant and distinctive, and the solid mahogany construction provides a warm and organic tone. The fact that it is also semi-hollow with a classic f-hole gives the Vela extra resonance.

The electronics start with a PRS DS-01 pickup in the treble position that delivers a clear and resonant sound, while a PRS Narrowfield in the neck position gives the guitar a distinct bite. A coil tap on the tone control allows the bridge pickup to be split to single coil mode, providing even greater tonal versatility.

The guitar is equipped with a PRS plate-style bridge with two saddles designed for intonation. This bridge is a nod to Paul's early designs and traditional plate-style bridges, but is top-loading for easy stringing. Similar to the bridge on Paul's Guitar and select Private Stock models, the PRS plate-style bridge features brass saddles and a steel plate for maximum sustain and tonal clarity.
