Tube-equipped amplifier top of 20 watts with a good pressure. The HDRX amplifiers are inspired by one of Jimi Hendrix's personal amplifiers, the same amplifier that he most likely used at Woodstock in 1969. This particular amplifier was studied in minute detail by Paul Reed Smith & Doug Sewell who are amplifier designers at PRS in 2018. Focusing on the sound it delivered created the HDRX tops HDRX50 and HDRX100. Now there is a 20 Watt version - HDRX20! PRS has really succeeded in bringing out an innovative, innovative and modern tube top, but which has the sought-after sound that British amplifiers had in the late 60s.
The sound has a focused top register but does not become hard and cold, but the warm bottom is there in the sound image. The ability to dial in everything from a singing vintage -dist with a lot of presence to a caressing and whispering clean sound is present.
