PRS DGT – David Grissom Dark Cherry Sunburst
The DGT model (David Grissom Trem) is the result of over 20 years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom. It is based on the PRS McCarty platform and combines a unique DGT neck profile, higher frets, specially voiced pickups, and a customized control layout. The body is crafted from solid mahogany with a arched maple top.

During development, Grissom and Paul compared more than forty different pickup sets before finding the right vintage-sounding tone for the DGT humbuckers. Combined with individual volume controls for each pickup and a push/pull master tone control for coil-tap, the DGT delivers an exceptionally flexible and articulate tone.

The PRS Phase III Locking tuners are locking but still feature a vintage-inspired exterior. These tuners are designed to improve tone transfer to the instrument, thereby providing a more powerful tone and greater sustain.

The PRS-patented Gen III tremolo is designed to provide optimal tone, ergonomics, and outstanding tuning stability. The meticulously engineered design delivers a responsive tone and a bridge that holds its tuning exceptionally well.

David Grissom describes the model as follows:
