Electric guitar PRS Custom 24 - Faded Whale Blue
The instrument that laid the foundation for PRS, the Custom 24 is the original model that Paul Reed Smith first introduced at the NAMM show in 1985.

The Custom 24 model has a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, and the mahogany neck has 24 frets. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets, a 10“ radius, and a 25” scale length. The instrument is equipped with PRS's own patented GenIII tremolo, which, together with the lockable tuning pegs, provides a good basis for using the tremolo without losing tuning. The lockable Phase III mechanics are also equipped with specially designed knobs that do not reduce the vibration of the strings, giving the instrument additional resonance.

The two DMO humbucker pickups that the Custom 24 is equipped with are controlled by a volume and tone control and are controlled by a 5-way switch. DMO is designed by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS design team, where DMO stands for Dynamic, Musical, Open. During the development of the new pickups, Paul Reed and his team researched both vintage and modern pickups, analyzed signals, and explored how to create different sounds based on different pickup designs. The result is Dynamic, Musical, Open, which has a clear, open tone throughout the entire register.
