Peavey Musician 60 112 Combo
The Peavey Musician 60 112 is a tube-powered combo amplifier featuring Peavey's patented ModeMaster technology, designed to serve as an optimal pedal platform for guitarists of all genres, both live and recording. The technology is the first of its kind and allows for either pure Class A or conventional Class A/B operation, without affecting other circuits in the amplifier. In Class A mode, a newly developed output transformer is used to connect both output tubes in parallel and deliver approximately 27 watts, providing a dynamic response comparable to the 60 watts produced in Class A/B mode, while maintaining all the sonic benefits.

For further control over output power and amplifier character, the Musician 60 features a power attenuator that can reduce power down to 18W or 3W. The amplifier is supplied with 6L6GC and 12AX7 tubes, but is designed to handle other types of tubes as well.

The amplifier has two separate channels with separate inputs and volume controls. The first is equipped with a conventional preamplifier, two EQ voicings and a passive 3-band EQ. The second input is a buffered line level input with separate level control, intended for external preamps or effects when you really want to maintain the character of the external devices without the influence of the preamp.

The reverb, which can be controlled by a footswitch, has a level control and a unique design that allows you to choose between spring or plate reverb. On the rear panel are several features tailored for pedal-based systems, including dual 9V DC outputs (negative pole in the centre) with a capacity of up to 3000 mA, as well as a buffered effects loop that can be controlled via the footswitch. Additional features include a DI output (XLR) with speaker simulation that can be disconnected if, for example, you already have another speaker simulation in the signal chain, Speaker Mute function if you want to use the amplifier without speakers, but also dual speaker outputs with impedance selection between 4, 8 and 16 ohms if you want to use the amplifier with multiple speakers.

The cabinet is made from 100% birch plywood and is equipped with a newly developed Sheffield 1230+ (16 ohms), a modernised and more consistent version of the Peavey-made Sheffield speakers from the 1990s. A reverb and effects loop footswitch (MIDI-compatible TRS switching) is included.
