The Ortofon MC Vertex is a reference-class moving coil cartridge designed for discerning vinyl enthusiasts seeking exceptional precision, transparency, and musical realism. Every component has been engineered as part of a complete system, allowing the cartridge to extract the finest details from the record groove while maintaining natural tonal balance and remarkable accuracy.

At the heart of the MC Vertex is the newly developed Vertex Diamond stylus, featuring an advanced line contact profile that maximizes contact with the groove walls. Combined with a solid diamond cantilever, it delivers outstanding tracking performance, precise energy transfer, and exceptionally low moving mass for accurate retrieval of even the most subtle musical information.

The cartridge body and internal core are manufactured from titanium using Selective Laser Melting technology. This advanced production process enables precise control of geometry, rigidity, and mass distribution while minimizing unwanted resonances that can affect sound quality.

A refined magnetic system with a non-magnetic armature and high-purity silver quad coils ensures fast transient response, excellent channel separation, and detailed signal reproduction. Ortofon’s Wide Range Damping system further enhances stability and resonance control, resulting in a spacious soundstage, precise imaging, and exceptional musical clarity.
