This type of instrument is ideal for the modern bassist seeking new ways to express themselves, yet who demands the highest standards in both sound and playability. The NXT instruments are in many ways identical to the exclusive instruments in the CR series, but at prices everyone can afford.
The new NXT series, featuring the new active output electronics, includes 4- and 5-string Omni-Basses, all with physical elegance, incredible lightness, and fantastic tone.
The Omni-bass is normally tuned like an electric bass (E-A-D-G). It is also available on order with a low-to-high tuning (C-G-D-A).

FEATURES
The patented tuning system is built into the bottom of the body, enabling quick, easy, and precise adjustment, exceptional tuning stability, and easy string changes.
At the heart of the NXTa is a Polar™ Pickup System, whose piezo components convert string vibration directly into a signal output. This provides a balanced, tonally rich reproduction of the sound
and offers a wide range of expressive possibilities. Arco and Pizzicato have significantly different vibration characteristics, and the Polar Pickup System faithfully captures both.
Dual Mode Output - The new dual-signal output electronics in the NXTa take the convenience, versatility, and performance capabilities of the NXT to another level.
Active Mode - Use the included charger and plug the NXTa into a wall outlet for 60 seconds to charge the capacitor-powered active circuit for up to 16 hours of playing time.
The instrument can then be plugged directly into any low- or high-impedance input; no DI box is needed. Since there is no signal loss across the instrument’s entire frequency spectrum,
every note comes through clear and strong, even with extra-long cables.
Passive Mode – The NXTa can be played in this mode when using a DI box or an amplifier with a high-impedance input. (This mode provides performance capabilities identical to the original NXT.)
NXTa instruments are battery-free, eliminating the hassle and cost of batteries while protecting the environment.
