Novation Launchkey 88 MK4

Novation Launchkey 88 is an all-in-one USB MIDI keyboard controller with 88 semi-weighted, waterfall-style full-size keys, 16 RGB-backlit velocity-sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch, eight endless rotary encoders and nine 45 mm faders. It combines expressive keyboard control with hands-on mixing, performance and production features.

Launchkey 88 offers deep integration with Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig and Ardour. Transport controls, clip launching, timeline navigation, mixing, EQ and instrument and effect parameters can be controlled directly from the hardware. The pads also function as RGB clip launchers in Ableton Live Session View and Logic Live Loops.

Built-in Scale, Chord and Arpeggiator modes provide creative tools for composing and performing. Scale Modes support 30 different scales, while Fixed Chord and Chord Maps allow chords and progressions to be triggered from individual keys and pads. The keyboard can also be split into two zones or layered across two MIDI channels.

Custom Modes allow the controls to be configured using the free Novation Components software. Up to four custom mappings can be stored for the faders, pads and encoders, allowing them to send chosen notes, MIDI CCs or program changes. An OLED display provides detailed feedback during operation.

Launchkey 88 is bus-powered via USB and includes a USB cable, MIDI output and 6.3 mm sustain pedal input. The package also includes Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE, Melodics, Novation Play, a selection of GForce, Klevgrand and Orchestral Tools software, plus a Native Instruments Komplete 15 Select Bundle.
