20" Crash, Hand-hammered in B20 Alloy - 80% copper, 20% tin.
Modern cymbals in classic hand-hammered B20 alloy. A vast sound spectrum ranging from soft “Lowfi” to “Blowfi,” suitable for all cymbal enthusiasts across all genres. The Byzance Vintage Series features a unique sound characterized by the sandblasting process and the fact that each cymbal is hand-hammered. Sandblasting has a similar effect to gentle playing over a long period of time, meaning the cymbal softens slightly and loses unwanted overtones without losing its punch in the high register.
The 20“ Byzance Vintage has a dark, ”washy/wobbly“ sound that pairs perfectly with the other Vintage crashes available in 16”, 18“, and 22” sizes. The cymbal also functions as a soft and “washy” ride cymbal!
