20" Sand Thin Crash, Hand hammered in B20 Alloy - 80% copper, 20% tin.

The Byzance Vintage Series has a unique sound characterized by sandblasting and the fact that each cymbal is hand-hammered. Sandblasting has a similar effect to gentle playing over a long period of time, that is, the cymbal softens slightly and loses unwanted overtones without losing tension in the top register. The B20SATC, designed in collaboration with Benny Greb, is a long-awaited addition to the successful Sand Ride and Sand Hi-hat cymbals.
The Vintage series is hand-hammered from B20 alloy and is sandblasted to provide warmth and a round attack. Each model has a unique character with musical overtones that are generally characterized by a deep, rich sound, controlled volume and sustain that provides superb dynamics.
The B20SATC fits in any setup but especially matches the sister cymbals B18SATC, B18SAMC and the other Vintage Sand cymbals.
