18" Vintage Pure Trash Crash, hand-hammered in B20 alloy—80% copper and 20% tin, specially treated and unpolished surface.
The Byzance Vintage series is specially treated to provide a pre-recorded sound. The Pure Crash cymbals are extremely dry and have a clean, warm tone with a distinct attack. Despite this, the Pure Crash is not dead but has a nice dynamic sustain. The Vintage Pure Trash Crash responds quickly with a trashy, white-noise-like sound, followed by a fast and dry decay.

Why do the “Trash” cymbals have holes?
By removing material from a cymbal, the sound travels faster and dissipates from the cymbal, creating the quick response and fast decay these cymbals are known for. The size, shape, and placement of the holes also affect how trashy or dark the cymbal will sound.
