To celebrate 25 years of collaboration between Mapex and one of the metal scene’s most influential drummers, the Black Panther Artist Collection proudly presents the Aquiles Priester “PsychOctopus” Signature snare drum. Developed according to Mapex Design Labs’ Concept Hybrid philosophy, this snare drum reflects Aquiles Priester’s technical skill, powerful playing style, and unique musical identity.

Maple/Padauk hybrid shell – power and clarity
The PsychOctopus is built on an 11 mm thick, 11-ply maple and padauk hybrid shell. This combination delivers a bright and open tone with warmth, clarity, and focused projection. The extra-deep 8” shell provides increased volume and a powerful attack, perfect for dynamic and hard-hitting playing.

PsychOctopus 3D Badge – An Icon Reborn
The PsychOctopus symbol has long been strongly associated with Aquiles Priester and represents his complex and expressive drumming. For this signature model, the symbol has been brought to life with a 3D badge that adds both depth and visual character.
