SR is probably the bass model most people think of when someone says "Ibanez bass" and for around 40 years it has been the market leading model among "small body" basses (basses with smaller, slimmer bodies). They are light, easy-to-play basses that are extremely comfortable to wear and play, perfect for people who play a lot or long sessions.
SR is available in designs from cheap entry-level basses to absolute best basses and everything in between, whatever price range you want to get into, there is an SR bass for you. They are also available in several different types of wood and pickup configurations.
The standard series are Ibanez "regular" models, instruments that are a little cheaper without compromising too much on quality compared to the best models. Instruments for those who want everything that Ibanez stands for, playability, reliability, sound, appearance and feel, but have a slightly thinner wallet.

The pickups are Bartolini BH2, split coil design pickups with a very wide frequency range and a clear, distinct character from single coil but without hum and noise.
