S520AH-OBF. (Cosmic Blue Flat) Electric guitar S series.
The S model is a unique Ibanez design that has been around since 1987, just as long as the RG models.
The model was first called Sabre but soon changed its name to the short and concise ‘S’.
It has also been the basis for various signature models, of which the FGM100 (Frank Gambale) model is probably the best known.
It is a lightweight and ergonomic guitar with a heavily sculpted body that is normal thickness in the middle but becomes significantly thinner towards the edges (on both the front and back), giving it a shape that almost merges with the body when you stand up and play. An ultimate guitar for guitarists who play long live sets, practise for long periods or simply want an extremely ergonomic guitar.
The guitar has an Ibanez 24-band Wizard III neck. Wizard III is a slightly thicker version of the popular Wizard profile, with a slightly rounder and softer profile. It also has a radius of 400 mm instead of the Wizard neck's 430 mm.
A very comfortable neck for those who want a little more wood in their hands without the neck being thick and clunky.
A fast and very easy-to-play neck equipped with 24 well-ground jumbo frets.

The guitar has an ash body, visually lighter wood with a beautiful and large grain. Tone-wise, it has a clear and open treble with lots of overtones and a fast, snappy attack. The low register is solid and tight with good string separation. The clear top end allows it to cut through thick soundscapes without becoming thin or sharp. Chords and riffs are snappy, crisp and with a clear response. Fantastic separation! Melody/solo playing becomes attack-rich and clear, and it is easy to distinguish all notes even in fast lines (as long as your technique is up to par, of course).

The S520 is equipped with an Ibanez Edge Zero II tremolo, a stable and responsive tremolo, a 3-piece Wizard III maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard.
