RGIB21-BK (Black) Iron Label Baritone.
The RGIB21 is a baritone guitar from the Iron Label series.
With its 28" (711.2 mm) scale length, it comes factory-tuned to B and strung with .014 to .068 gauge strings.
An extremely clean and badass baritone—a full-blooded riff machine!
Ibanez calls the series “Iron Label – metal to the core,” and that’s exactly what the Iron Label series is all about: guitars optimized for what modern metal demands of a guitar. The heaviest-sounding guitars out there. That said, it’s obviously not the case that the guitars implode if you play anything other than metal on them—you can play anything on them.
The foundation of the series is Ibanez’s classic RG and S models, which have been developed and modified to become Iron Label – metal to the core. They come in 6-, 7-, and 8-string models, and all are equipped with US-made EMG or DiMarzio pickups. The series includes models with both fixed bridges and tremolos. All RG models are also equipped with a kill switch where the tone control is normally located.
Body: Nyatoh
The body is made of Nyatoh, a relatively lightweight wood with a smooth frequency response across the entire range. This makes it a wood that’s easy to shape sonically in many different directions and produce a wide variety of tones. The even frequency response also makes it very suitable for distorted sounds; it blends the sound nicely without it becoming either scattered or unclear.
Bridge: Gibraltar Standard II
The bridge is a Gibraltar Standard, a sturdy and stable bridge of classic design. It provides excellent transmission of string vibrations to the body for solid sustain and a singing tone.
The entire surface of the body is completely smooth, and there is nothing that digs into your hand while playing or gets in the way when playing muted riffs.
