RGDR4327R-NTF. (Natural Flat). Electric guitar with hardcase. Prestige 7-string. Made in Japan.
RGD is a series of guitars that was developed with the goal of being the ultimate metal guitar. In modern metal, it is more of a rule than an exception to tune down guitars to get fatter, heavier and meaner riffs. On standard guitars, the scale length is a problem when tuning down, the strings tend to become like spaghetti and are difficult to get the guitar to stay in tune and the intonation is out of tune. On the RGD series, the problem has been solved by making the scale on the neck 2.4 cm longer (673mm instead of 648mm). The difference in how stable the strings feel is big, but the difference in how it feels for the fingers to play on a longer neck is quite small, if you have big hands you will probably experience it as an advantage with the longer scale.
The slightly beveled body makes the guitar extremely comfortable to play, and the heavily beveled horns provide total access to the highest frets.
Neck: Wizard-7
The guitar is equipped with the Ibanez Wizard neck profile, the Wizard can best be described as a slightly thicker Super Wizard neck. It has the same flat fingerboard (430mmR), the same width and the same well-sharpening jumbo frets as the Super Wizard but is a little thicker. A neck for those who want what Ibanez is known for, an extremely fast and easy-to-play neck, but want a little more wood in their hand.
Body: African Mahogany
Mahogany is a tonewood with sound characteristics towards the warmer side, with a clear and prominent midrange.
Bridge: Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo.
The bridge is Ibanez's classic, and most popular, Lo-Pro EDGE model in a seven-string version.
An extremely stable and durable sway that has also proven to withstand many years of swaying without collapsing.
