K7YIN – Munky (Korn) Signature Model
When Ibanez shocked the world and released the first 7-string electric guitar 30 years ago, no one could have predicted how much it would transform guitar-driven music. Munky and the band Korn were among the first to fully realize the 7-string’s sonic potential, shaping a sound that launched an entirely new musical movement.
In the early 2000s, Korn and Ibanez designed the original K7 signature model—an instrument matching Korn’s unique style. Now, nearly twenty-five years later, Ibanez releases the special K7YIN, preserving many of the classic K7 specs.

* Series: both coils of the pickup are connected in series, giving maximum output and power as designed. This is the configuration described on the manufacturer’s site. The pickups are hum-cancelling and completely silent in this mode.
