A classic Ibanez model that has more or less become an icon of hard rock and metal.
For 40 years, it has hung over the shoulders of musicians around the world, and most of them have played music on the heavier side. The model has such a distinct visual identity that there’s nothing about it that your eyes haven’t already told you.
A true classic in the Ibanez lineup.
The body is made of Okoume, a very beautiful type of wood that leans toward a slightly warmer and mellower tone. The treble is softly rounded without losing clarity or separation.
It has a pleasant bump in the midrange that makes the sound during melody and solo playing rich and singing, with long sustain.
The bridge is a Gibraltar Performer, a sturdy and stable bridge in the classic style. It provides excellent transmission of string vibrations to the body, resulting in substantial sustain and a singing tone.
The entire surface of the bridge is completely smooth, and there’s nothing that digs into your hand while playing or gets in the way when playing muted riffs.
