The AE body shape has modern design elements to achieve high playability and create a well-balanced sound that follows the concept of the AE series.
The combination of the specially designed Scalloped X Bracing and Tone Projection Back Bracing, produces a versatile sound character.
The AE170 has a solid Sitka spruce top with a body and sides of flamed maple, varnished in transparent red.
It has a woody, warm tone with a soft response when playing and provides powerful high-mids with a clear projection. The fingerboard inlays also give a sophisticated feel to the guitar.
