Compact two-way ceilingmount speakers designed for installation into ceilings. For background and near-field sound reinforcement in foyers, boutiques, bars, restaurants, shopping centers, airports, train stations and so forth. Featured with a built-in passive crossover with a 100 V transformer offering selectable power taps, which may be activated from below once the speaker installed.

Enclosure design and mechanical appointments The IL 80-CT’s front cover is made of a white polymer with a metal grille insert. It is installed using clamping fixtures that are accessible from below. The IL 80-CT weighs 1.4 kg. Its installation width is 22 cm and installation depth is 9.3 cm.

Electrical and acoustical data
The IL 80-CT is loaded with an 8" woofer and a 1" tweeter with neodymium magnets. Aligned in coaxial array, both drivers are controlled via an internal passive crossover with a crossover frequency of 3 kHz. The IL 80-CT’s power handling capacity is 60 watts RMS at 8 ohms impedance. It delivers 89 dB (1W/1m) SPL, measured under half-space conditions. Maximum SPL measured under the same conditions at a distance of one meter is 106 dB at 10% THD. Frequency response ranges from 60 Hz to 20 kHz (± 3 dB). Consequently, the IL 80-CT is able to provide audio reinforcement for speech and background music without requiring a subwoofer.
