The Hagstrom Krona 7 marks an important milestone in the company’s history as its first seven-string electric guitar. It has been developed for musicians who require an extended range, clear response in the lower register and professional tonal control. The powerful offset single-cut body with a pronounced German carve creates a bold look, whilst the mahogany body with a Canadian maple top and flamed maple veneer provides a resonant, stable and dynamic foundation. The set-in Canadian maple neck with mortise-and-tenon joint ensures sustain, strength and a responsive feel across all seven strings.

The instrument is powered by two newly developed Hagstrom pickups, specially designed for this model. The AgentX7 in the neck position offers rich, articulate warmth and clarity in both chords and melodic lines, whilst the Penetrator7 in the bridge position delivers high-output aggression, bite and impressive clarity. Both pickups use AlNiCo 5 magnets, and each tone control offers push-pull coil-split for quick access to brighter, single-coil-inspired tones. Nickel-silver frames and backplates provide stable magnetic balance and a smooth, harmonious frequency response at all levels of gain.

The 25.5” scale length provides optimal string tension for the low B string and maintains clarity across the entire extended frequency range. The newly developed Hagstrom Hardtail-7 bridge construction, CNC-machined from solid steel and combined with a string-through design, maximises sustain and tonal depth across the entire register. Stainless steel medium jumbo frets offer superior durability and a fast, smooth playing feel. Finally, Hagstrom’s locking tuning machines with a 19:1 ratio provide stable tuning and quick string changes – perfect for both stage and studio.
