Sound Performance

The RS1 features Grado’s 50 mm X2 dynamic drivers with a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and a magnetic system optimized for control and efficiency. Its sound signature is centered around an expressive midrange with strong presence, combined with natural detail, clarity, and musical immediacy.

The open-back design creates an airy and lively stereo image, allowing recordings to unfold with excellent separation, dynamics, and spaciousness.

The RS1 is equipped with Grado’s Signature Gold headband, the most advanced platform within the Classic Series. The construction incorporates aluminum, stainless steel, and reinforced mounting points for excellent stability and long-term durability.

Tri-Wood Construction

The RS1 features an exclusive tri-wood housing crafted from Cocobolo, hemp, and maple. The combination of these materials contributes unique acoustic properties, including density, damping, and structural stability.
