Grado Green4 – Musically Balanced
The Grado Green4 is a high-output moving-iron cartridge designed to perform optimally with a wide range of RIAA preamps. The sound character is balanced and musical, with clear detail reproduction, smooth treble, and a midrange with warmth and presence. The bass is controlled and well-defined, resulting in a stable and cohesive presentation that preserves the recordings’ natural musical expression.

Diamond, cantilever, and stylus
The Green4 is equipped with an elliptical diamond mounted on a lightweight aluminum cantilever. The elliptical cut ensures effective contact with the record groove and stable tracking across a wide frequency range, while the aluminum cantilever contributes to smooth and controlled sound reproduction. The stylus is user-replaceable, simplifying maintenance and ensuring a long service life. All styluses in Grado’s Prestige series are compatible with one another, providing flexibility between models without compromising performance.

Moving iron design
All Grado cartridges are based on a moving iron design rooted in Joseph Grado’s patented flux-bridger principle. By keeping the coils fixed and minimizing moving mass, a fast, accurate signal with high harmonic integrity is created. The design combines control and musicality with the robustness and long-term stability often lacking in traditional moving-coil systems.

Coils and Internal Construction
The internal signal path is constructed using ultra-pure 5N OCC copper, selected for its high conductivity and consistent quality. Each cartridge undergoes cryogenic treatment and internal damping to reduce unwanted resonances and preserve the purity of the signal. The result is a sound that remains cohesive, balanced, and dynamic over time.
