The Gibson LG-2 50s Original is a small-body acoustic guitar with a rich, balanced tone. Inspired by 1950s-era LG-2 models, it features solid mahogany back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top with traditional scalloped X-bracing. The mahogany neck has a Historic V profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 20 standard frets and understated mother-of-pearl dot inlays.

The guitar features the Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA pickup system with dual sensors mounted on the internal bridge plate and dedicated Class A preamps. The system captures string detail, body resonance and the guitar's dynamic range, with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls for easy access while playing.
