The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble delivers all of the features and performance of ourregular Les Paul Standard 50s models but with even more vintage appeal. These limited-run LesPaul models differ from our standard Les Paul Standard 50s models in two respects. First, theBurstbucker™ and Burstbucker 2 pickups are left uncovered, and each has Double ClassicWhite bobbins and is fitted with the standard 2 Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference is in thefinish. The finish colors are "Vintage" variations on our standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes.Our standard gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes represent the finishes on brand-new modelsfrom the 1950s, while the full-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer Vintage finishes on the Les PaulStandard 50s Double Trouble models are slightly faded when compared to the standard versions,like the subtly faded light vintage aging that occurs over several years. The burst patterns varysomewhat from guitar to guitar since each is individually hand-sprayed.Of course. all of the standard features that make the Les Paul Standard 50s models sO widelyloved are all still here, including a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figuredmaple top and a rounded 50s Vintage-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22medium jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays. The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble iSequipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic ™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bartailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs with dialpointers. The uncovered, calibrated Burstbucker™ (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickupsare internally the same as their standard Burstbucker counterparts, with the exception of theDouble Classic White bobbins. They are handcrafted in the Gibson Pickup Shop, loaded withAlnico 2 magnets, and hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop®capacitors. The Double Classic White pickup bobbins and Vintage finishes combine to give theLes Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble an elegant vintage vibe.
