The Gibson 80s Explorer revives the iconic 1984 model. Its solid mahogany body and fast-playing SlimTaper™ mahogany neck deliver aggressive tone and sustain. Indian rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and 12" radius ensures comfortable playability. Hand-wired 80s Tribute humbuckers capture the classic fat-toned sound of the era, with individual volume controls and a master tone featuring Orange Drop® capacitors. Aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, plus Grover® Mini Rotomatic™ tuners and Graph Tech® nut, provide stable tuning. Includes a Gibson hardshell case.
