FiiO UTWS 17

The FiiO LINK TWS (UTWS17) is a Bluetooth headphone amplifier that adds wireless Hi-Fi playback to headphones and IEMs with interchangeable cables. It combines the Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth chipset with dedicated AK4333 DACs, supporting high-resolution Bluetooth formats and up to 85 mW output at 32 Ω.

The LINK TWS supports aptX Lossless, LDAC, LHDC V5 and aptX Adaptive, with wireless transmission rates of up to 1.2 Mbps. AptX Adaptive gaming mode provides a stated latency of 74.6 ms, while aptX Voice at 32 kHz and two microphones with CVC noise cancellation support clearer voice communication.

One pair of ear hooks can be used with both MMCX and 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors thanks to the included interchangeable adapters. Each ear hook weighs approximately 8 g and uses silver-coated single-crystal copper wiring. The ear hooks feature contactless wireless charging and automatically power on or off when removed from or placed into the charging case.

The charging case includes an OLED dot-matrix display showing information such as pairing and battery status. Battery life is approximately 7 hours per charge, with approximately 20 hours of total battery life including the charging case. The system also features 10-band PEQ adjustment through the FiiO Control app.

Touch controls provide access to playback, volume and track selection, while an IPX4 splash-proof rating makes the LINK TWS suitable for exercise and various outdoor situations.
